What is the difference between JASO MA2 and JASO MB for 10W30 oils?
JASO MA2 specifies high-friction properties required for motorcycles with wet clutches, preventing clutch slippage. JASO MB specifies low-friction properties designed exclusively for automatic gearless scooters. Scooters have a dry clutch outside the engine, so they benefit from lower-friction oils that maximize fuel economy. Do not use JASO MB oil in a wet-clutch motorcycle.
